Welcome to the commencement of our cigar blog. We are hoping that our website and blog serve as a portal for other like-minded individuals that enjoy the art of cigar smoking. As a long time retailer, I have lived through the highs of the ’90s cigar boom and the current lows of high cigar taxes and encroachment of non smoking laws. Throughout all these periods, one thing has remained the same, the passion for a great smoke. Understanding this, we try to make our retail stores, and now our blog, a haven/retreat for people to escape from their daily stress and enjoy the simple pleasures of life.

Castro's Best

Cohiba, a Taino Indian word meaning “bunches of tobacco leaves” has always used the finest of tobacco leaves since their induction in the cigar world in 1966. Cohiba was the primary cigar for Fidel Castro and often given to foreign dignitaries and diplomats as gifts. Cohiba was finally available to the public when it was unveiled at the 1982 FIFA World Cup and since has been the flagship cigar of the Habanos line. The Siglo VI size was introduced to the Cohiba line in 2002. The uniquely blended cigars boast complex flavors of cocoa, hint of honey, cedar and finishes with a creamy hazelnut taste. Its ligero and seco filler leaves have undergone a third fermentation process in which the leaves are aged in barrels to add an extra bit of smoothness to the cigar. The cascading flavors and aromas linger even after the smoke has ended. With its 52 ring gauge and 5 7/8” length the Siglo VI gives the smoker ample amount of time to enjoy its complexity of flavors. Although unavailable in the United States many Americans have traveled outside our borders in search of this unique and unequalled cigar. If you have the opportunity to smoke one, seize it.

Cigars have always been a symbol of style. You know, a man with hot girls, wine in hand, leaving from a black car and a cohiba in hand is awesome. I've seen such a personality. From that point, I started cohiba Siglo VI. What a great stick it is. Man, I love it
